As there is a large change in CGMA personnel during the summer, this is the perfect time to highlight CGMA's mission and guiding principles. When clients contact our Representatives or CGMA-HQ for help, we want to ensure that we are all keeping these principles in mind.
CGMA strives to promote financial stability and general well being of the people it serves.
All actions of Coast Guard Mutual Assistance Board of Control members, Representatives and staff members are governed by the following principles:
Each and every time a client in need reaches out to us, whether CGMA approves, offers an alternative source of help, or disapproves a request does not make as large of an impact on a client as how they were treated or counseled when they have an encounter with CGMA representatives or CGMA-HQ.
We appreciate the role that you are filling as our points of contact around the country, as you are CGMA representatives, volunteers, and advocates. Your position is important and very much appreciated.
